Michelle Blioux was born in urban Chicago. In contrast to the gritty urban environment Michelle grew up in she was interested in glamour, fantasy and perfection. She drew and painted endlessly from fashion magazines and vintage photographs, inspired by beautiful people. It allowed her to to live outside the corner bars, empty lots and abandoned houses that littered the neighborhood. She attended The School of the Art Institute Chicago with a scholarship in painting but soon realized that photography was her true passion. Photography combined two great loves-image making and technology. After school she purchased an RV and without having driven before she traveled the United States looking for a new place to live. After living in Austin, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco she now calls New York home.
